A Local dog breading couple have come away from this year's Crufts at the NEC at Birmingham with a win of their own and also saw one of the dogs they'd bred come away with another win. Riversong Lancer, owned by Ruth and Basil Waterton of Moortown, won the Limit Dog out of a class of 12.
Lancer is a four and half year old beagle and was shown by Stacy Burrows of Hibaldstow, whose two year old beagle dog Shercroft Pioneer at Summerlily (Hugo) came second out of a class of 24 in Post Graduate Dog to Riversong Haggai, which was bred by Ruth Waterton.

Riversong, a long established kennel, has a great record
of success in the show ring.
We have an unbroken line of bitches extending over nearly
forty years. We have championship show winning dogs offered
at stud to approved bitches and sometimes pups for sale for
show of pets. Riversong for beauty and temperament.

Our greatest success was a Champion Riversong Rhapsody sired
by Ch.Kernerbridge Trooper out of our Riversong Pastime. She
gained her first four CC's. at breed champ shows where entries
are always higher, all with BOB. In England, Ireland, Scotland
and Wales, a true British Champion, then added severaral more
CCs. all with BOB, and a Reserve CC. from Crufts. Other Riversong
champions include Prelude, Rehoboam, Wishful and Nymph.
